Argentina – Bariloche
April 19, 2014
We headed back to Bariloche for one night before our flight to Mendoza. It was a busy Saturday afternoon when we arrived and the town was bustling with activity, there was a market and a band in the main square and given that it was the day before Easter, the chocolate shops were overflowing with people buying famous Bariloche chocolates. We fairly quickly headed out of town to do a driving tour of the Llau Llau (pronounced Shout Shout dropping the Ts) Peninsula. We actually did a hike out there when we stayed in Bariloche about 5 years ago, hopping over the border from Chile. It was still quite beautiful. We
were tired after a long day of driving, so we picked up a few odds and ends to eat in the little apartment we rented on the outskirts of town. It was all exposed wood and the deal of the trip so far…..a whole apartment for $60! The next day we got back on a plane to fly to Mendoza and wine country.
