Unforgettable and grand harbor entrance. Hard to believe we are on a lake, I guess it is a very big lake…
Just too beautiful in the setting sun to leave this picture out.
And like every good Bavarian city, Lindau has a lovely beer garden. We had rotisserie chicken…yummm!
Colorful view of the harbor.
Once again, the vines are everywhere here….these Germans really appreciate the finer things.
Well, this was a first for us, although we didn’t get to use it, what a great idea. You can purchase your room, check in, and get your room key from this machine outside the hotel.
Pretty shopping street in LIndau.
You never miss the ornately decorated town halls.
Look closely, it appears that someone familiar may be in residence…..any nights in shining armor looking for their chance?
Lindau – August 13th, 2013
Lindau is on Lake Konstanz, the largest lake in Germany and a summer resort area. One of its main attractions is the town of Lindau. The history of this lake-side town goes back to the first century, A.D., when a Roman Settlement was built here. These days it is a very bustling lakeside resort town with lovely little shopping streets, plenty of restaurants and hotels. We had a one-night stop-over here and found it exceedingly delightful!
