We took a day trip out of Mandalay and saw some amazing sights. Inwe is another old capital, and did not disappoint, we also saw some more temples in the hills. Wanted to share the pictures with you!
This floating hotel in the style of the ancient royal barges was docked along the side of the river.

Old Temple at Inwe, this is a peninsula outside of Mandalay that used to be the capital but now is a lazy place where tourists can get around in a horse tuk tuk

This teak bridge is a big tourist attraction and actually about 10 times as long as you can tell in this picture.
This was “Johnny”, our cab driver….he picked us up walking in the heat to an internet cafe and ended up showing us the sights in and around Mandalay for the next two days….he dropped us off at the airport on the last day.
