Columbia – Leticia

We flew to the little airport in Tabatinga, Columbia and then drove the kilometer or so across the border into Leticia, Columbia. We arrived on a Saturday night and the small town was absolutely hopping. The town was on the a river and we went down to the riverfront to watch the sunset. We had a cold beer on a floating bar and enjoyed seeing the floating neighboorhood across the river. It would have been fun to tour the area on boat, but alas we only had the one night in town. We saw some entertainment taking place in the park and a religious parade in the square. We had a delightful dinner at a little local restaurant and retired thoroughly delighted with our short stay in Leticia.
